Who we are
The studio is lead by head Designer and Director, Richard Rogers. He trained at the acclaimed London College of Garden Design based at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He graduated with distinction and won the external judges prize for the best final project.
He was motivated to train as a garden designer by his life long love of nature, landscape, garden and planting design. His green fingers came from a Grandmother who won medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower show for her floral designs and his father who was a prize winning flower grower.
Following his training he worked for a leading landscape design and build company, gaining valuable experience of the industry, before setting up his own studio.
Richard has a strong belief in the health and wellbeing benefits of gardens and green space and is a Trustee of a charity called Thrive who help change the lives of those living with disability or ill health through the use of gardening and horticulture.
How we work
We recognize that building a garden is one of the most significant investments that people ever make, so we take the time to get to know our clients as we believe that a garden should be as unique as its owner. We work closely with you to evolve a design that not only meets your practical needs but will enhance your life in many other ways. Just as the landscape of our lives evolve, so does an outdoor space that support it, so, if desired, we will be on hand to help you adapt and develop your garden as it grows with you.
Our designs aim to create a sense of journey, belonging and connection to the natural environment; utilising both modern and naturalistic design ideas. We source high quality materials using wherever possible, sustainable products and planting.
Experience has taught us that successful garden design is more than dreaming up creative ideas; there is a need for strong project management skills to bring together specialist suppliers and contractors who will work well together to achieve the design vision – on time and within budget. Richard has worked within a corporate environment prior to becoming a designer and brings with him years of project management experience. We are on hand at every stage, ensuring that we create a beautiful garden to the highest quality.
